American dream will come true for two Luxembourgish startups, ADcorp and Hypallages. They have just signed a contract for a crowdfunding campaign with Lutexia Energy, a company based in Florida. The American company, that produces and distributes local solar energy at a low price, wants to raise $ 150,000 USD in less than 8 weeks on the Kickstarter platform..
“In March 2016, our company will launch a crowdfunding campaign to adapt our unique and successful solar technology – the Solar Pump Giordano, the world’s most efficient solar water heater – from France to build the first 100% U.S. Solar Pump system”, said Marc Giordano, CEO of Lutexia Energy. “Our technology is based on local solar energy with a low cost structure. Our power stations – the Solar Pump systems – are located on clients’ sites: hotels, hospitals, condos and soon private houses. This operational and energetic proximity combined with an innovative business model – the building of the power station is entirely supported by Lutexia, our clients only pay the water and electricity produced by our Solar Pump systems – explains why the price our clients pay for each KWh is lower than our competitors, whether they operate in the renewable, nuclear or fossil fuel industry.”
Why ADcorp and Hypallages?
“We have chosen ADcorp and Hypallages because we needed European companies located in or near France where the Solar Pump was initially developed, able to work in French and English and specialized in drone aerial photography – our power stations are usually located on the roof of our clients”, explained Marc Giordano.
“The Lutexia Energy project is very exciting. The Solar Pump technology is unique in the world and will revolutionize the renewable energy market. That’s why we have decided to accept the project”, replied Julien Duckers, CEO of the Luxembourgish company ADcorp. “My company is responsible for the visual side of the campaign: from the website to pictures and videos with or without drones. For the content, I have a partnership with Hypallages.”
Hypallages is a Luxembourgish company specialized in content marketing, social media, influence marketing and crowdfunding campaign. “All these activities are linked together”, added Stéphane Etienne, CEO of Hypallages. “Joining an international crowdfunding platform such as Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Ulule is not enough to reach your funding goal. To make your crowdfunding campaign successful, you have to engage a community around you project by using social media, email, word-of-mouth and influence marketing. Content is also very important. To foster community engagement, your message must be attractive, convincing and carrying values your backers can identify with.”
An innovative business model
“In addition to our complementarity, our business model has also convinced Lutexia Energy to work with us”, concluded the two partners. “Our fees are linked to an obligation of results: 50% before the campaign and 50% after the campaign if successful.”
